Maeklang Elephant Conservation Community - Full day
Did you ever dream about a place where humans and animals could live in harmony? At Maeklang Elephant Conservation Community, we have created this special place for our elephants to retrieve their natural habitat and for you to meet them sustainably.
Hidden in the jungles of Doi Inthanon National Park, we have created an eco-friendly elephant sanctuary for our dear friends. Without any rush, you will have time to feed them with organic food, take them for a mud bath, splash them in the river, and of course, relax and observe their behavior. After this day, you will know everything about the circumstances that brought them to this sanctuary and how our excellent team cares about these gentle giants.
With the full-day experience, you will visit our sanctuary and learn about our four elephants and help us feed, bathe, and take care of them. You will get the chance to meet baby elephant Messi, born in May 2020.
For those who would like a more private experience with our elephants, you will have the opportunity to spend the night in typical Thai bungalows, located in our sanctuary, and sleep right next to the elephants. Read more about this option here.

Children 3 - 8 years of age can join the trip for 1500 Baht per person. Children 1 - 2 years of age can join the tour for free.
Itinerary & Practicalities
Price: 2400 THB
Pick-up from the hotel in Chiang Mai between 7:00 am – 7:30 am.
Drive approximately 1.5 hours to Maeklang Elephant Conservation Community.
Start the day by changing your clothes followed by a quick briefing.
Prepare the food, feed the elephants, enjoy a mud spa and bath with the elephants.
Enjoy a Thai lunch.
You will help collecting food for the elephants around the sanctuary, prepare their vitamin balls and feed them.
At the end of the day, you will enjoy a last bath with your new friends before leaving the sanctuary for Chiang Mai.
Return to your hotel around 5:30 pm.
Price includes: Transportation, all entrance fees, lunch, food for the elephants, insurance, English speaking guide, uniform and insurance.
What to bring: Bathing suit, towel, bug spray, walking shoes or trainers, flip flops and sunscreen.
