Maerim Elephant Sanctuary - Half day
Maerim Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai is an ethical elephant sanctuary 40 kilometers north of Chiang Mai. This cozy elephant sanctuary is an excellent choice for families with young children because of its location close to the city. Maerim Elephant Sanctuary has five elephants rescued from riding camps, circuses, and illegal logging work.
You will spend a half-day in the morning or afternoon observing, feeding, bathing, and walking in the jungle with the elephants. Join the elephants for a short hike to the river and enjoy a bath with them. Our guides will explain to you where the elephants come from and how to take care of these intelligent animals.
Children 3 to 6 years of age pay only an 800 Baht entrance fee. Children 1 to 2 years of age can join the trip for free.
