Chiang Mai Mountain Sanctuary - Full day
Established in 2017, Chiang Mai Mountain Sanctuary is one of the latest elephant sanctuaries in Chiang Mai, run by local Karen people who love their elephants. The location is beautiful in a valley surrounded by the rolling green hills of the Mae Taeng region, just an hour north of Chiang Mai. There are fifteen adult elephants and one baby elephant who is about three years of age at the sanctuary. You will spend the day helping with preparing food, feeding, observing, bathing, and walking with the elephants in the jungle and farmlands that surround the sanctuary.
With the full-day program, we will enjoy a longer hike with the elephants in the surrounding jungle and also learn how to make herbal medicine balls to improve their digestion.
The entrance price for this fantastic elephant sanctuary is unbeatable.
Children 4 to 8 years of age pay only 900 Baht entrance. Children 1 to 3 years of age can join the trip for free.
